On the full moon day of August, the day of Janai Purnima, is a sacred day among the Hindus. Hundreds of Jankris or Shamans gather, beating drums, twirling rhythmically in skirts, perspiration trickling under their peacock feather headdresses as they move from shrine to shrine. It is real chance bit of Nepali Culture that should not be missed if you are in Nepal at this time of the year
